Leo Martyn began working with Alias Auto Studio / Power Animator 3d software in 1996 on a scholarship exchange to Hogskolan i Skovde in Sweden to study computer art. Shortly after, he completed a Visual Art degree at the University of Newcastle majoring in film and video. Since then he has worked across six countries - Australia, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany and Singapore on a wide range of projects including; commercial television, series and documentary work, commercials, games, theme parks and simulation films.
Leo is currently based in Sydney and works in a freelance capacity for a variety of clients in animation and web design. He trades under the ABN of FuroreMedia. Software used includes, Maya, Combustion, Photoshop, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Flash, Vegas, as well as a number of smaller utilities.
Services offered include: 3d animation, compositing and visual effects, live action filming for cg, web design and administration, training videos as well as education in these areas.
Leo is currently working on several websites, in 3d for Ross Rudesch Harley's 'Aviopolis' project and with Paula Dawson both on her 'Destinations' holographic installation and in the co-development of a 3d and holograms elective to complement CoFA's (College of Fine Art, University of NSW) Online Masters of Cross Disciplinary Art. Leo also teaches Advanced Motion Graphics at Raffles University in North Sydney.
Leo also works for the Metta Foundation in Oregon, USA in a webdesign and technical support capacity as well as voluntarily for Sydney Insight Meditators (webdesign) and Diamond Essence Australia (sound and audio production).
Additionally, he is also in the final stages of completing a Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling at the Jansen Newman Institute and a Diploma of Educational Studies from The University of London's College of Teachers.
